The Problem We Saw
Social media was designed to be addictive. Algorithms optimize for engagement at the expense of user well-being, and most people felt powerless to change their habits. Anxiety, sleep disruption, and reduced focus were common complaints—especially among teens.
Existing solutions were either too punitive (complete blocking) or ineffective (generic productivity apps). We needed something that treated the root cause: helping people become intentional and aware of their choices.
